Cars that I have always wanted

There they are, the cars you've seen on the road and have thought someday you will own one. Well the chances are you probably won't. I have decided to compose of a list of some my most liked cars of all time. If I ever won the lottery, I would have to build a garage big enough to store all of these fine automobiles. Throughout the next couple of weeks, I will be posting the cars I want and why I want them.

Ferrari Testarossa

This car is the car I want most out of all of the cars I have chosen to put on this website.  I'm not sure why, but I really had to think hard as to why I actually like this car so much. This car was released back in the late 80's which was the same time that I pretty much started playing with Hot Wheels cars. I remember many days of playing with my toy Testarossa's. Back in the day my brother's and I would play with our Hot Wheel's in the dirt under our swing set. The Testarossa was always my favorite car to play with. To this day, I still have the original Testarossa Hot Wheels cars that I used to play with. I think the feature of this car that makes it so awesome are the fins on the doors that help direct the air into the radiator vents to cool the car. If anyone wants to buy me one, let me know.

Saleen S7

Here is a car that I thought I would never see in person.  One day I was driving through East Aurora, NY, minding my own business, when out of the corner of my eye I see a Saleen S7.  My first thought was oh cool that's a nice Saleen S7.  Then I paused for a second and was like wait a minute, THAT'S A SALEEN S7!  I thought about turning around and following it because I knew I may never see one again.  In my opinion, I would say that it may just be the best looking super car and the best thing about it is that it's made in America!

Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

Most people probably have never heard of this car. If you are into the Fast and Furious movie series, you would remember Paul Walker driving one of these cars in the 2nd movie. I will always remember this car from the video game Tokyo Street Racer on the Sega Dreamcast. Because of this game, I quickly learned how much power this car is capable of. The car had a 2.6L I6 engine that only produced 276 HP due to a silly Japanese tradition of restricting cars to 276 HP.  The engine in this car is so strong that it can easily handle over 800 horsepower.  When I owned this car in the original Gran Turismo game for the Sony Playstation, I souped up the engine to have over 1000 horsepower. If I had to choose one car out of all the cars I have listed, this might just be the one I choose.

Lamborghini Countach

When I was younger, my Dad knew someone who owned a Countach.  I remember one day I was coming home from a Piano lesson and I saw this bright red thing at the end of our driveway.  That thing was of course a Lamborghini Countach.  This is the first exotic car I have ever seen in person and I will never forget that.  One other thing I will never forget is that it was barely taller than my knees, which at that time I was probably only around 5 feet tall.

Chrysler 300m

A luxury car with modern style would explain the 300m.  One of the nicest cars of its time and much further ahead of the competition.  Take a look at the Lincoln's and Cadillacs of the 300m's time.  They just don't compare.  As a matter of fact, I would say the current lincoln line has finally caught up to the exterior styling of the 300m. 253 hp from a 3.5L v6 in 1999 was hard to beat.  A designed that could have lived through the years of the 300c.  The only problem with this car is that they never produced the 300 hemi c concept (no not the current 300c).

Dodge Challenger SRT-8

There are two types of people out there, those who have a Hemi, and those who want a Hemi!  This is exactly the same thing I think about the Challenger.  Luckily my best friend owns a Challenger so I have seen quite a few hours behind the wheel of one.  The Challenger is pure eye candy and is definitely the best looking of all the current pony cars.  The only downfall is that they aren't as fast as a Dodge Spirit R/T.  What's up with that?

Nissan 300zx

I am not a big fan of Japanese cars and if I had to drive one, it would definitely be a Nissan of some sort.  I have wanted a 300zx ever since my Uncle introduced me to them way back in the early 90's.  Twin turbo v6 with 300hp in 1990?  That was unheard of.  A car that made it on Car and Driver's top 10 cars list every year it was produced in the US and a car that will always be on my top 10 list.

Ferrari F40

I had a toy model of one of these cars when I was younger and always hoped of owning one someday.  Up until recently, I never realized how awesome these cars were.  I was watching an episode of the British television show called Top Gear where they mentioned some interesting facts about this car.  The car came with a 2.9L v8 twin turbo engine producing 471HP in 1987.  The F40 weighs less that 2500 pounds thanks to the carbon fiber body.  According to Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear, both refer to the F40 as the "greatest supercar the world had ever seen".  The F40 was the last car commissioned by Enzo before his death and may possibly be the best Ferrari ever produced.

Dodge Viper SRT-10

Who doesn't want to own a Viper?  One of the best supercars of all time.  In the late 80's to early 90's, dodge decided that they needed a flagship car for their brand.  The viper is exactly that.  You can argue that the Corvette is the flagship car for chevy, but you can count how many you see in a week on atleast one hand.  How many Viper's do you see a week?  Nevermind that, how many do you see in a month or year?  Probably enough to count on one hand.  V10 power and 600 HP make up one mean automobile.  Who would have thought that welding two extra cylinders onto a 360 would spur such an amazing machine!
